Stricter penalties to be imposed for environmental violations
Published: September 14, 2016
Following recent approval by the Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, stricter penalties will be imposed on any manufacturing establishments and businesses operating in the city which cause environmental pollution. These units will have their business licences revoked or be shut down if they are found to be repeating illegal acts after being fined or warned for first violations.
Local relevant agencies are asked to conduct regular or unscheduled inspections to local manufacturing businesses in order to promptly detect and deal with any environmental violations.
The Director of the municipal Department of Natural Disasters and the Environment will ask its relevant offices to deal with any complaints from local residents.
