Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri highly praised the local young people for their remarkable achievements for the city’s progress over recent years.  In particular, the ‘I Love My Fatherland’ campaign has been implemented effectively.  This campaign has helped to encourage local young people to uphold the spirit of patriotism and the country’s heroic traditions, as well as to fulfil tough assigned duties, regardless of the hardships and dangers.

Deputy Secretary Tri also stressed the need for the DYF to appeal for more local young people in the years ahead to become involved in the city’s major projects and programmes, such as the ‘5 No’s, 3 Yes’s’, ‘Building Da Nang into an Environmentally-friendly City’,  ‘The City of 4 Safe Programmes’, and ‘Build New Rural Areas’.

The city leader also took the opportunity to affirm, “Adolescence is the most significant period in everyone’s life.  Young people should exert their utmost strength to make greater dedication to their lives and the country’s development”.

The Chairman of the DYF, Mr Tran Vu Duy Man, remarked, “Vietnamese young people have always enhanced their ardent patriotism and their deep loyalty towards the political ideologies of the Party and the late President Ho Chi Minh.  Young people are making every effort to realise their goals of building a strong nation with a wealthier population, and a democratic, fair and civilised society”.

Also at the event, 60 local young students received ‘I Love My Fatherland’ awards in recognition for their outstanding devotion to the country’s progress over recent years.
