To mark the 20^th anniversary of Da Nang's recognition as a centrally-governed city, the 20 most outstanding businesses operating in the city will be selected and honoured for their great devotion to the city’s growth.

Under the assessment criteria, the honourees will be those which have had particularly remarkable achievements, and shown great devotion to the city’s socio-economic development. 

The honourees will be expected to have recorded high and sustainable growth rates over recent years, based on such basic criteria as revenues and profits, total investment capital and assets, the total number of employees, and their contributions to the city budget.

In addition, they must have taken the initiative in developing new products and services which are able to compete with their rivals from both domestic and foreign markets.  Also, the honourees must have issued preferential policies to ensure the best benefits for their employees, and created favourable conditions for their Party organisations to operate effectively.

The businesses selected will be expected to join efforts with the city authorities to ensure local socio-economic development, become actively involved in environmental protection activities, and participate in humanitarian, charitable, and social programmes for the local community.

The names of the 20 most outstanding businesses will be announced at a grand ceremony on 31 December to mark the 20^th anniversary of the city’s recognition as a centrally-governed city.
