There are currently 1,142 foreigners working in Da Nang, 330 of whom hold top corporate positions.

The figures were recently released by the municipal Department of Labour, War-invalids and Social Affairs.

In particular, 80% of the local ex-pats are experts, engineers, managers and teachers, whilst the remainder are technicians.

The city is now home to 474 businesses employing foreigners from 49 countries and territories worldwide.

According to a survey conducted by HSBC in late December 2015, Viet Nam is regarded as the most attractive country in Asia for ex-pats.  68% of the 22,000 participants working in Viet Nam – foreign employees from all over the world – said that they could save more money in Viet Nam than in other Asian countries.
