Last Saturday, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection officially opened its charity kitchen at the city’s Psychiatric Hospital.

Preparing meals for psychiatric patients

The association has raised 100 million VND from the Viet Nam Plastic Association, plus 200  million in cash and material gifts from local generous donors.  Initially, the money will go to offer 2 free meals, valued at 15,000 VND each, to 30 of the hospital’s psychiatric patients every day.  The beneficiaries are those who are receiving medical treatment at the hospital and come from very poor families.
