On Tuesday, the Mobile Security Team from the Aviation Security Centre at Da Nang International Airport and 6 local police officers were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam.

The Aviation Security Centre also received a Certificate of Merit from the municipal Police Department.  They had successfully detained a 52-year-old Chinese national named Wang Qingjian on 24 November. 

The Chinese man had stolen more than 400 million VND in cash from a Vietnamese passenger whilst they were on board Vietnam Airlines flight VN 104 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang on the same day.
