Temporary suspension of road traffic vehicles

Following recent instructions from the Da Nang authorities, some certain vehicles will be banned from running on streets to ensure the success of various activities to mark 20 years since the city's recognition as a centrally-governed city on 1 January 1997.

In particular, all types of trucks carrying soil, stones, sand or construction materials will be temporarily banned on 31 December and 1 January. 

In addition, trailer trucks will be temporarily suspended between 3.00pm and 11.00pm on 31 December and 1 January on the following routes: Yet Kieu - Ngo Quyen - Ngu Hanh Son - Tien Son Bridge - 2 September - a section of Cach Mang Thang Tam between its intersection with 2 September and the Hoa Cam overpass, a section of Le Van Hien between its intersection with Ho Xuan Huong and Vo Chi Cong - National Highway 1A - Truong Chinh - Hue T-junction - Ton Duc Thang - a section of Nguyen Luong Bang between its intersection with Ton Duc Thang and Ta Quang Buu, and Nguyen Tat Thanh - Dien Bien Phu - Tran Cao Van - Au Co - Hoang Van Thai - Nguyen Sinh Sac - the north-west traffic axis No 1 - Vo Chi Cong - Nguyen Huu Tho - Le Dai Hanh - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh.

The departments of Police and Transport, and district-level authorities, will take various effective measures to ensure local traffic safety over the 2 days, and impose strict penalties on any traffic violations.
