On board were officers and men from Navy Zone 4 and around 90 reporters from media agencies nationwide, including some from the DA NANG Newspaper.
The ships are carrying food and essential goods for the district’s soldiers and locals to help them celebrate the forthcoming Tet Festival.
The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has donated 600 million VND towards the effort, and the Dai Xuyen sea-duck breeding farm has given 2,000 breeding ducks. In addition, some generous organisations and individuals from across the country have presented over 2,000 ‘banh chung’ (sticky rice cakes).
