Captain Tran Vo Nhan, the leader of a special team for detecting image-based traffic violations via the video camera system at the Police Department, suggested that the Transport Department should provide his unit with more computers, digital colour printers, digital video recorders, and surveillance cameras to enhance his team’s performance.

The Head of the Department’s Traffic Police Division, Colonel Le Ngoc, remarked that following the success of the imposition of penalties on image-based violations at intersections in the suburbs, a similar regulation was applied for offences at these major inner-city intersections and is expected to record positive results, thereby helping improve traffic order.
