Vietnamese people can now submit their visa application for travel to Japan via 14 travel agencies across the country which have been authorised by the Japanese Embassy in Viet Nam since December 15, 2016.

This policy provides Vietnamese tourists with another way to apply for a visa to enter Japan, instead of applying for and obtaining visas at the Japanese Embassy in Ha Noi or the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

The applicants must pay extra fees for the accredited travel agents apart from the Embassy’s fixed visa processing fees.

However, the policy is not applicable to Diplomatic and Official passport holders.

The new policy aims to improve visa services, shorten waiting time for visa applicants, and make it more convenient for those in rural and remote areas.

There are 14 travel agencies entrusted for outsourcing visa procedures.  They include Ben Thanh Tourist Company, Ha Noi Tourist Travel Company, Hoang Nguyen Tourist JSC., International Golden Services Provider JSC., JTB – TNT Co. Ltd., Nam Cuong Tourism Service Co. Ltd., Saigon Tourist Travel Service Co. Ltd. – Ha Noi branch, Song Han Trading and Tourist Co. Ltd. – Ha Noi branch, VFS Global, Transviet Travel – Ha Noi branch, Viet Foot Travel and Investment Services JSC., Viet Nam Golden Team International Travel JSC., Viet Nam Tourism – Ha Noi JSC., and VT – Tour Co. Ltd.
