On Wednesday, representatives from the Da Nang Police Department and the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs visited the Bau Bang Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Bac Commune to deliver gifts, totalling over 70 million VND, to more than 500 rehabilitants there.

The Director of the Police Department, Colonel Le Van Tam, highlighted the negative effects of drugs on human health and social security.

Some typical examples of people who had successful beaten their drug addictions, and improved their lives, were also talked about.  Mr Tam pledged that his unit would join efforts with the relevant local agencies to help rehabilitated people to become good citizens.
