The Da Nang Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction has once again postponed the completion deadline for the new tunnel project taking Tran Phu under Le Duan.  The tunnel is now expected to open to traffic on 30 April instead of the previously stated 29 March and then 20 April.

To date, over 90% of the construction work has been completed, and the laying of the aggregate base courses of the tunnel and its northern approach road has been finished. 

Tiles are being laid on the pavements, whilst the asphalting of the road surface through the tunnel and the northern approach road is in progress.

The delay to the site clearance of the former Eximbank branch at 48 Tran Phu has resulted in the construction of some items on the southern side of the new tunnel running behind schedule.  The focus is now on installing drainage systems and laying the aggregate base courses of the southern exit road.
