It is the turn of the teams from Switzerland and Japan to produce their amazing fireworks displays on the 2nd night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2017 on Saturday 20 May.  To date, a total of around 4,000 tickets have already been sold for the night, which has ‘Earth’ as its theme.

According to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the teams’ fireworks are already at the fireworks-release site near the Novotel Danang Premier on Bach Dang.

Following the very successful first night nearly 3 weeks ago, some improvements have been made to arrangements this time.  Fences around areas alongside the western and eastern banks of the Han River have been reinforced to prevent anyone breaking through them to enter into the fireworks stores or viewing areas.

The festival's organiser, Sun Group, is installing modern sound systems and a screen system along both banks of the river to help viewers better enjoy the fireworks displays.  This installation is expected to be completed on 18 May.

On Tuesday, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman cum Head of the Department of Publicity and Training Dang Viet Dung, stressed the need for all relevant units to double check their plans for the night.  Importance should also be attached to widely publicising the upcoming event to both locals and visitors.

In addition, Vice Chairman Dung urged relevant local agencies to ban all non-tourist boats on the river during the night’s fireworks performances.

He also reminded local tourism service providers that they should display the prices of all their services, sell them only at those prices, and ensure food safety and hygiene for visitors.  The standard of the mobile public toilets within the fireworks display areas will be checked.
