Published: June 18, 2017

In recognition of the 92nd anniversary of Viet Nam’s Revolutionary Press Day (21 June), Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri visited the DA NANG Newspaper on Thursday.  He happily extended his best wishes to the editors, reporters and staff of the newspaper.

Deputy Secretary Tri highly praised the newspaper’s editors and staff for enhancing the quality of the newspaper publications in order to provide its readers with multi-dimensional information in a prompt and effective manner.  This has helped the organisation to strongly affirm its stated role as ‘the voice of the party, government and people of Da Nang’.

The city leader also underlined the need for the newspaper to publish more articles honouring those doing good deeds and strictly criticising any negative phenomena in society, thereby helping to foster the city’s progress.

He also took the opportunity to appeal for the newspaper’s reporters to uphold their work ethics and raise their sense of responsibility to justify their positions as soldiers on the cultural and ideological front.
In particular, greater efforts should be made to develop the newspaper into a multi-media agency in future years.

On the same day, Deputy Secretary Tri visited and extended his kind greetings to the staff members of the city’s branches of the Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Viet Nam News Agency.

He hoped that the 2 branches, along with the other city-based press agencies, would continue their efforts to provide accurate information to domestic and foreign readers in a timely fashion.

He added that special heed should be paid to contributing more constructive recommendations to help the city leaders uphold their leadership capacity and take effective measures to deal with local issues, thereby helping to make Da Nang more prosperous and beautiful.
