The Immigration Management Office (IMO) of the Da Nang Police Department located at 7 Tran Quy Cap, Hai Chau District, has started operating an online passport application system for citizens at https://hochieu.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn.

Under the new service, passport applicants are required to fill out e-declaration forms on the website and then they select a suitable date and time for an appointment with the IMO.  Then, the applicants must take the required personal papers to the office in order to implement their application procedures there. In particular, the applicants must have their photograph taken at the office.

If applicants do not arrive for their appointments within 10 days of the booked time, their application will be cancelled on the website.

The online passport system will help passport applicants to save time by them not needing to spend so much time queuing and waiting to register at the IMO. 

Along with this online service, normal procedures remain in place for passport applications who are elderly or do not know how to use the Internet.

Ha Noi, Hai Phong, and Ho Chi Minh City have also started operating this online service.
