Local youth union members do voluntary work in Laos
Thirty-five young doctors and government employees, all members of Da Nang’s Youth Union (YU), are carrying out voluntary work in Laos' Salavan Province until 22 June. This is the 7th time that YU members have taken part in such a programme in Laos.

The event is part of the 2017 International Summer Voluntary Programme which has been launched by the municipal YU organisation. The intention is to further deepen the special friendly relations with Laos, and to strengthen the friendly relationship between the people of Da Nang and Laotian localities.
During their 6-day stay in Salavan Province, Da Nang’s volunteers are providing free medical examinations and medicines to over 1,000 local residents, and donating gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to 100 local poor families. In addition, a wide range of cultural and sporting exchange activities are being held during the visit.
