Between 2008 and 2016, a total of over 64 billion VND was raised in Da Nang from around 4,000 organisations and individuals from both home and abroad.  The money went to help about 28,000 disadvantaged people, exceeding the city’s target by 13.7%.

These figures were released on Monday at a meeting to launch the ‘Each Organisation and Individual Being Associated with a Humanitarian Address’ movement across the city for the 2017 - 2018 period.

During this period, the city is targeting to appeal for even more financial aid from generous domestic and foreign donors to help 4,000 disadvantaged people every year.
