Spectacular fireworks displays by teams from the UK, Australia and Italy lit up Da Nang’s sky on the last night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2017) on Saturday.

In the end, Team Italy were worthily crowned champions.  They were awarded with the DIFF 2017 trophy and 10,000 USD in cash.

Team Australia won the 2^nd prize of 5,000 USD, whilst 3,000 USD in cash were given to the British contestants who finished third.

Team Italy thrilled the spectators with their incredible display of pyrotechnics and lights in a unique design, along with enchanting support music.  Their fantastic performance was greeted with enthusiastic applause and high appreciation from thousands of viewers.

The nearly 2-month-long DIFF proved a great success and left a deep impression on thousands of locals and visitors from both home and abroad.

The success of this year’s event was largely due to the dedicated participating teams and the great efforts of DIFF's oganisers, local authorities and people as well as the enthusiastic support of locals and visitors.

DIFF 2017 helped Da Nang affirm its position as ‘Asia’s Leading Festival and Events Destination’, the award it was given at the World Travel Awards Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony in 2016.

The next DIFF is scheduled to take place annually, in 2018.
