Evergreen Labs – a pioneer of meaningful community programmes
Founded in March 2016 in Da Nang, start-up business Evergreen Labs has deployed numerous meaningful programmes for the benefit of the whole community. Included are activities which encourage young people to care for the environment and gain an insight into traditional Vietnamese cultural values, as well as to help local children learn about how to grow organic vegetables.

Most notably, Evergreen Labs has successfully organised the Evergreen Farmer’s Market Fair event on 6 occasions to date.
According to Evergreen Labs’ employee Nguyen Thi Thuy, each fair usually features between 30 and 35 stalls selling organic food supplied by domestic private organisations and businesses from across the central region. Participants include Ecofarm, NongPro, Hipaya, Aloo Food, Moc Nhien, An Hai Dong Mushroom Growing Cooperative, and Go Noi Organic Vegetables. In addition, there is TIPI selling natural cosmetics, handmade lipsticks, Gac (momordica cochinchinensis) and turmeric root oils.
The fair also offers various exciting activities for children, along with stalls providing customers with information about plastic items, music and food.
Stalls offer delicious food products with domestic and foreign brand names including Piotr bacon, Dana matcha green tea powder, the French cheese Saint Olivier, Big Bear Kitchen, Tacos Da Nang, Azzan Coffee and Chocolate, and Kombucha tea.
Ms Thuy remarked that Evergreen Labs always aims to offer organic food, with clear sources of origin, at reasonable prices. Also, this start-up business makes great efforts to create closer links between organic food providers in a bid to provide better products for local customers.
The official website of the Evergreen Farmer’s Market Fair project at http://www.healthyfarm.org/ will open in the middle of this month, allowing customers to buy online organic agricultural products and other necessities for use in daily life.
Furthermore, Evergreen Labs is currently developing a community tourism project in A Hua Village, A Luoi District, Thua Thien-Hue Province. Under this project, importance is being attached to raising at least 3,000 USD from generous donors at home and abroad. The money raised will be used to build essential facilities, provide equipment, and offer training programmes for local residents to help them set up their own tourism services to better serve visitors arriving in this village.
