According to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region is currently experiencing a fierce heat wave due to the influence of low pressure in the west associated with a strong foehn wind in the southwest region.  Daytime temperatures are between 35 and 37°C, whilst the lowest humidity is reported as 48%.

The hot spell is predicted to last over the next few days.
