Public sector employees get 3 days off for National Day

Public sector employees nationwide will have 3 days off for the 72nd anniversary of this year’s National Day (2 September).

The holiday period approved by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, will be from 2 to 4 September (Saturday to Monday).
Public sector employees get a total of 18 holidays this year, including New Year holidays, Tet, the Hung Kings’ death anniversary (10th day of 3rd lunar month), National Reunification Day (30 April) and International Labour Day (1 May) and National Day (2 September).
On 2 September, 1945, the late President Ho Chi Minh made the historic Independence Declaration at the Ba Dinh Square, marking the birth of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
