Refurbishment of Tien Son Sports Arena for AELW completed
The refurbishment of Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena, where the Gala Dinner of the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW 2017) will be held, has recently been completed. The 80 billion VND work was funded from the national budget.

Work started on the venue in November 2016. The focus was on repainting and waterproofing work, rebuilding sound-proofed walls, carrying out maintenance on its lifts, and implementing interior decorations.
More modern lighting, sound, air conditioning and automatic fire alarm systems at the venue were also installed.
On the 1st floor of the 2-storey venue, there are reception halls and lounges exclusively for high-ranking officials and the leaders of international delegations, plus technical rooms and auxiliary facilities. Meanwhile, the 2nd floor of the building features entertainment and relaxation areas for the guests.
In addition, more eye-catching landscapes have been created around the venue.
