According to the latest statistics released by the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, by late June, a total of 76 local government agencies and departments had already applied national-standard TCVN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System into their operation.  By late this year, 94% of the total administrative units at commune and ward levels is expected to apply this system.

The application of this quality management system will help the city develop a modern, open and transparent administrative structure.  Therefore, over recent years, the Department has organised numerous training courses on promoting the application of the national-standard TCVN ISO 9001Quality Management System at local administrative units amongst their employees.

As a result, the quality of the handling of administrative procedures at local administrative units has been enhanced significantly.  This has satisfied the increasing demand of local residents and businesses.

In particular, administrative procedures have been simplified, and locals and businesses, therefore, enjoy benefits from these improvements.  This is mainly attributed to the applications of the quality management system and information technology, in receiving the administrative dossiers and returning the results through the city’s ‘one-stop’ and ‘one-stop-shop’ mechanisms.  In addition, leaders of local administrative units can manage their work effectively.
