More support for poor residents
On Thursday, work started on the building of a 70m2 charity house for 40-year-old Thai Hau from Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang. The construction cost of 50 million VND was funded from the municipal Association of Charities and Children’s Rights Protection.

The Association also donated a breeding cow, worth 12 million VND, to 32-year-old poor single mother Cao Thi Le from the district’s Hoa Khuong Commune.
Also on the same day, in response to a recent appeal from the Association, the US Orphan Voice organisation presented sewing and overlocking machines to Nguyen Thi Hue from Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Khanh Nam Ward. Another woman, Nguyen Thi Thanh Xuan from Hoa Phong Commune was also given breeding cows and pigs. These recipients are in very difficult circumstances, and they are now shouldering the heavy burden of caring for her school-aged children. These offerings were valued at nearly 40 million VND in total.
The city’s Red Cross Association and Children of Peace International in the USA recently jointly provided free medical examinations and medicines for about 600 poor residents in the Hoa Lien and Hoa Son communes in Hoa Vang District.
The beneficiaries were also introduced to effective ways to ensure oral hygiene and how to protect their health. Moreover, free hand towels, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste were provided for them.
