At a press conference on Monday it was announced that the 6th charity concert entitled ‘Pink Hearts’ will take place at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre in the evening of 28 September. It will be broadcast live on Da Nang Radio and Television (DRT) channels.
Organised by the city’s Association for Supporting Orphans and the Disabled, the annual concert aims to raise funds for helping local disabled people and orphaned children. It will also honour generous donors and praise shining examples of local disabled people and orphans who have made great efforts to overcome their difficulties to have brighter lives.
The concert will feature song and dance items by some local artistes, disabled people and child orphans.
Also at the event, a hand-embroidered picture entitled ‘Mot Goc Que huong Toi’ (A Corner of My Hometown) will be auctioned at a starting price of 150 million VND. The 2.2m x 1.5m picture was made during 1,216 days by 5 disabled children and 3 skilled embroiderers who are working for the Thanh Ngoc Minh Company.
