In particular, 23 emergency teams of medical workers will be ready for serving the event, 17 of which will be arranged at 17 local hotels where the high-ranking AELW delegations will stay. In addition, 9 preventive medicine teams will be stationed at local hospitals. Moreover, 14 ambulances will be available at the hotels. The Military Zone 5 High Command will also arrange a helicopter on the Son Tra Peninsula to carry patients just in case of need.
The Da Nang C, General, Hoan My, Family and Vinmec International hospitals will serve the AELW. In addition, the municipal Food Safety and Hygiene Bureau will be responsible for inspecting food safety and hygiene at the 17 local hotels.
The city’s Centre for International Health Quarantine will arrange its medical workers at the Da Nang International Airport and the Da Nang Port in order to measure body temperatures of all international air passengers who arrive in the city for detecting abnormalities if any. Anyone showing suspected symptoms will be isolated and tested whether or not bodily fluids or secretions indicate the presence of any diseases.
The above-mentioned information was reported by a spokesperson for the municipal Department of Health at a meeting on Thursday with Deputy Minister of Health Le Quang Cuong.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Cuong highly praised the local health sector for its careful preparatory work for the upcoming AELW. He remarked that the Minister of Health would send the national leading medical experts to the city in case of emergencies.
