The money raised will go to help the city’s Association for Supporting Orphans and the Disabled organise its charitable activities for local disabled people and orphaned children.

The concert featured song and dance items by some local artistes, disabled people and child orphans.

Also at the event, generous donors were honoured, whilst shining examples of local disabled people and orphans were praised for their great efforts in overcoming their difficulties to have brighter lives.

To mark the occasion, a hand-embroidered picture entitled ‘Mot Goc Que huong Toi’ (A Corner of My Hometown) was auctioned at a starting price of 150 million VND.  The 2.2m x 1.5m picture was made during 1,216 days by 5 disabled children and 3 skilled embroiderers who are working for the Thanh Ngoc Minh Company.  In the end, the picture was sold for 200 million VND.
