Three fishermen from Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces were all rescued at sea after passing out while working in their vessel’s cold storage room last Saturday.

The victims were 36-year-old Nguyen Van Tan and 41-year-old Nguyen Tien Duong, both from Ha Tinh Province, and 29-year-old Nguyen Loi from Nghe An Province.

The Da Nang-based Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre No 2 confirmed to Viet Nam News that the three fainted when the boat was 125 miles off the Da Nang coast.

All of the victims were safely brought back to the mainland for further treatment.
