On Tuesday morning, 2 women, aged 53 and 68 respectively, were caught by Da Nang’s police officers for disguising as nuns to illegally beg for alms in the city.  One comes from Phu Yen Province whilst the other hails from Dong Thap Province.

The 2 imposters admitted having impersonated nuns to try to lure the general public into giving them money.  They had managed to receive a total of nearly 4 million VND before being taken to the Hai Chau Police Office for interrogations.

The 2 women have already been sent to the city’s Social Support Centre in order to expel them to their hometowns.
