Following a recent approval by the Da Nang People’s Committee, a total of 5.5 billion VND in aid from the municipal Natural Disaster Relief Fund has been given to northern localities.  The intention was to help them deal with the aftermath of recent devastating floods.

In detail, the provinces of Son La, Yen Bai and Nghe An received 500 million VND each, whist 1 billion VND each went to the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh, Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.

Destructive floods ripped through these localities after torrential rains earlier this month.

Since August, the city’s total aid for flood-hit northern localities has reached 9.5 billion VND.
