Deputy Secretary Tri praised the Centre’s pupils for their great efforts in overcoming their difficulties to achieve good academic results.  He also extended best wishes to them all, and encouraged them to continue their efforts to study harder and become useful citizens in society.

The city leader spoke highly of the Centre’s teaching staff for their efforts in teaching and caring for poor and disabled pupils there over recent years.

In May, the local Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School for Disabled Children was renamed the Support Centre for Inclusive Education Development.

Currently, the Centre has 23 classes with a total of 214 pupils, including 200 disabled children.  It provides both educational curriculum, and vocational, musical and life skill training courses, for pupils with different disabilities.

During the 2017 - 2018 academic year, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has spent 200 million VND on building a music therapy room at the Centre.  In addition, the Centre has been equipped with UNICEF-funded learning tools in order to meet the demand for teaching and caring for its pupils with disabilities.
