Published: October 31, 2017

According to the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, moderate to heavy rainfall is lashing Da Nang and elsewhere in the mid-central region, especially from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai provinces.  This matter results from the influence of a cold air current accompanied by strong winds from the east.

In particular, the rainfall in Da Nang is forecast to be between 100 and 150mm or even higher in some parts of the city until the end of 1 November, with the disaster risk level 1.  In particular, incessant heavy downpours have already inundated some sections of major local streets.

Also, other mid-central localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Quang Ngai provinces are predicted to experience the heavy rainfall of 100 and 200mm until 2 November, whilst Quang Binh Province 10 and 30mm, and Quang Tri Province 40 and 70mm.
