Local police officers return stolen money to owner
On Wednesday, the Hoa Tho Dong Ward police officers in Da Nang’s Cam Le District returned the stolen 13.02 million VND in cash to its owner, 38-year-old Nguyen Thi Anh Hong residing in the district.

On Tuesday, Ms Hong left her handbag which contains over 15 million VND in cash on the 3rd floor of the Binh Binh Pre-school in Hoa Tho Dong Ward. Soon after, the woman reported the case to the police officers in a bid to fully retrieve her lost property.
After carrying out their investigations, the police officers identified 13-year-old Le Bao Binh Yen from the ward as the thief in this case.
During interrogations, the juvenile offender admitted that he had spent over 1 million VND out of the total stolen money on celebrating his friend’s birthday.
