According to the latest report by the district authorities, as of Tuesday afternoon (7 November), a total of 10,431 houses had been inundated due to incessant heavy downpours over the previous days.  A total of 316 families there had been evacuated to safe places.

Fortunately, no human casualties have been reported in the city to date.

Due to this natural incident, the total economic damages for the district are estimated to be as much as 44.5 billion VND, with its agricultural production suffering the greatest losses.

During his working trip to the district’s Hoa Khuong Commune, State President Quang visited Para An Trach Dam on the Yen River, and some local policy families.  He encouraged the flood-affected residents to overcome their current difficulties and re-establish normality in their lives, as well as ensure their ultimate safety and environmental sanitation.
