Da Nang’s people are very proud of being the host of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) which is taking place from 6-11 November.

“I am very proud when Da Nang is hosting AELW, and will try my best to contribute to the success of the event”. Huynh Thi Hong Van, a 4^th year student from the city-based Duy Tan University said.

Van, a volunteer at the Da Nang International Airport, told a Viet Nam News Agency reporter on 5 November that her duty is arranging transport vehicles for APEC delegates.

“I attended training classes organised by the municipal External Affairs Relations in order to have the best knowledge on what to do when the delegates arrive in the city,” Van said.

Ho Thi Thu Hong from the Da Nang University, who used to work as a volunteer at several previous important events, said it is her honour to serve the APEC Week.

With careful preparations and training, she is confident that she will well perform her tasks at the APEC 2017 National Committee’s Culture-Information Sub-Committee.

For Nguyen Duc Huy from Duc Phu Limited Company, who is in charge of car arrangement for APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) delegates, this is a challenge but a good chance for him to enhance his working skills.

Ho Dac Hiep of Duc Phu Company revealed that as a tour driver, he has made great efforts to enhance his English and other skills to offer the best services to tourists, thus helping to promoting the image of Da Nang, the most worth-living city in Viet Nam.
