The Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre No 2 (MRCC2) said the boat (QB 91386TS) from Quang Binh Province suddenly stopped on Monday night.

The vessel became flooded with water as it was buffeted by rough seas.

A rescue ship sent from the centre towed the boat back to port in Da Nang at about 2.00pm.
