Last year, the Da Nang Women's Union and its chapters at all levels became actively involved in implementing the ‘City of 4 Safe Programmes’ campaign.

The focus was on lifting over 1,000 families in total out of poverty.  In addition, importance was attached to developing a total of 16 business models for women from across the city.  This helped to create jobs for more than 2,500 females, offering each of them an average monthly salary of between 2 million VND and 4.5 million VND.

Furthermore, consultancy services relating to marriage issues were provided for 300 local women whilst assistance was given to 55 others to reconcile their disagreements with their partners.

This year, the focus is on encouraging more females to become actively involved in social issues relating to their rights over the 2017-2027 period.  Heed is also paid to supporting women to do their start-up businesses over the 2017-2020 period.

Furthermore, an emphasis is on ensuring the effective implementation of the city’s organic vegetable supply programme over the 2017-2021 period.
