New parking and vehicle restrictions on some streets

Da Nang is enacting a parking ban effective early March, according to the municipal Department of Transport.  All 4-wheeled vehicles will be banned from parking along sections of Hung Vuong and Nguyen Thai Hoc.

In detail, such the vehicles will be prohibited from parking along the right-hand side of a section of Nguyen Thai Hoc, between its intersections with Yen Bai and Nguyen Chi Thanh, with traffic direction from Yen Bai to Nguyen Chi Thanh.

In a similar vein, such the vehicles will be banned from parking along the right-hand side of a section of Hung Vuong, between its intersections with Nguyen Chi Thanh and Yen Bai, with traffic direction from Nguyen Chi Thanh to Yen Bai.

The Department is placing signs announcing new parking restrictions along the 2 sections.  Administrative fines will be imposed on violators from the start of March.

In addition, approval has been given by the local authorties to ban all types of trailer and semi-trailer trucks from travelling on a section of 14B Highway, including Yet Kieu, Ngo Quyen and Ngu Hanh Son streets, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm every day.  The intention is to reduce the number of traffic accidents on 14B Highway, and ensure the safety of road users on this highway during rush hours.

The ban will take effect from early April.  During the ban time, such the vehicles will be allowed to park at the Da Nang Port.

Traffic police officers from the municipal Police Department, inspectors the Department of Transport, and police officers from Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts, will increase their checks and patrols on the 14B Highway section to regulate traffic to remind those violating the new regulations. 

The installation of signs announcing vehicle restrictions along the section is expected to be completed by 25 March, whilst administrative fines will be imposed on violators from the start of April.
