As part of its cooperation programme with the International Paediatric Specialist Alliance for the Children of Viet Nam (IPSAC-VN), the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital is providing medical examinations until 2 March for children from across the central region who have congenital chest, digestive, urinary and genital malformities.  The intention is to facilitate local and regional child patients to access advanced medicine and bring them back to a normal life.

Those who need surgery will be admitted to the hospital to be prepared for their operations which will be undertaken from 5-9 March.  The surgeries will be performed by professors, doctors, and experts from US’s leading universities, along with doctors from the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital.

Part of the costs for the patients’ examinations and operations will be covered by the national health insurance fund, whilst their families have to pay the remainders.

Anyone living in the central region who has a child with such malformities can register for medical examinations at the External Paediatrics Clinic of the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital, which is located at 402 Le Van Hien Street in Ngu Hanh Son District. They can also contact Dr Phong via 0905377003 or 0935195677.
