The Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee has become actively involved in appealing for public donations to buy Tet gifts for the poor in the city.  The intention is to present gifts, worth up to 700,000 VND each, to a total of 14,489 needy families.

To date, a total of around 4.2 billion VND has been raised to buy Tet gifts for 8,792 poor families.

In addition, district-level Fatherland Front Committees have also been actively involved in such meaningful activity.

In detail, Tet gifts, valued at 1.162 billion VND in total, have been given to 2,310 needy families in Ngu Hanh Son District.  Similar gifts, totalling over 1 billion VND, have been sent to 2,030 needy families in Son Tra District.

In Thanh Khe District, a total of over 600 million VND has been spent on presenting Tet gifts for more than 1,200 poor households.  Meanwhile, a total of 535 million VND has been used to buying gifts for 1,070 families in Cam Le District.

In Hai Chau District, gifts, valued at over 1 billion VND in total, have been given to 2,016 poor families.  In addition, Tet gifts, totalling over 250 million VND, has been presented to 500 needy household in Lien Chieu District, whilst similar ones, valued at 927 million VND in total, have been donated to 1,900 poor households in Hoa Vang District.
