City's temperature to drop to 17°-19° Celsius tonight
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, cold air has moved across the mid-central region and some parts of south central region.
Today (9 March), some central coastal localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Quang Ngai provinces, including Da Nang, can expect to see cooler morning and night. In addition, showers, strong winds and thunderstorms are possible in these areas tonight.
Furthermore, the mainland of these affected localities is bracing for north-northeastern winds of level 3-4. Likewise, northeastern winds level 6-8, rough seas, and sea waves to a height of up to 3m, are expected to be found at coastal waters of the central coast region.
In addition, frigid air is forecasted to settle into the city in early morning and late night, with lowest temperatures of between 17° and 19° Celsius.
In the similar vein, northeastern winds level 6-9 and heavy rough seas are expected to appear in the Tonkin Gulf, whilst northeastern winds level 7-9 and heavy rough seas are likely to be seen at northern side of the Bien Dong, including waters off the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelago.
