The event was one of activities held on the sidelines of the recent ‘Fatherland Seen from the Sea’ camp organised by the municipal YU. The intention was to convey the messages of ‘Vietnamese Youth Ready to Protect the National Sovereignty over its Sea and Islands’ and ‘The Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagos Belong to Viet Nam’.

The meaningful activity aimed to educate the youth about the country's traditional patriotism and their deep pride in their Fatherland's sea and islands.

Participating YU members joined the synchronised group dances featuring flag semaphore, an information-conveying system deploying movements of hand-held flags. The dances were made against the background songs entitled ‘Fatherland Seen from the Sea’.
