A launch ceremony for the municipal-level action month for children 2018 took place in Da Nang on Tuesday evening.

The launch of the event is active response to the National Action Month for Children 2018 entitled ‘For a Safe and Healthy Life for Children in the Digital Technology World’ which will take place across the country between 1 and 30 June.

To mark the occasion, the city’s Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs presented scholarships, valued at 2 million VND each, to 150 poor studious pupils.

In addition, 200 other poor children received gifts worth 100,000VND each.

Moreover, youth Union organisations of the municipal Business and Department Block handed over 20 million VND in cash to each of 2 poor pupils in Lien Chieu District whose houses need repairing.
