At around 1.15pm on Monday, a large fire broke out at a digital equipment company located at 23 Nguyen Bieu in Thanh Khe District’s Hoa Khe Ward.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

At that time, an employee from the company reported seeing thick plumes of black smoke rising from its terrace where old computer parts were stored. He, in prompt fashion, used a portable fire extinguisher available here to try to extinguish the blaze, and then called to the local fire-fighters for help.

Soon after, 4 fire engines, along with many firefighters from the Fire Fighting and Prevention Division No 2, arrived on the scene quickly to rescue the victims and extinguish the fire.

Thanks to the great efforts of the firefighters, the blaze was completely extinguished after only 15 minutes, and all of people staying inside the company were led to safety.

During firefighting, Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Duc Phuoc from the Fire Fighting and Prevention Division No 2 found over 3 million VND in cash and some other valuable cell-phones.

He immediately returned these items to their owner, 26-year-old Nguyen Cong Thuong from Quang Nam province’s Tien Phuoc District, who is the Director of the company.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
