The northern and central regions are experiencing a heatwave which is predicted to last until next Tuesday, 22 May, the Central Hydro-Meteorological Forecast Centre has warned.

The hot spell is resulted from the influence of the low pressure in the west associated with a strong foehn wind in the southwest region.

In detail, some parts of the central region from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen, including Da Nang, are bracing for the average temperatures of between 35 and 37 degree Celsius in the daytime, and above 38 degree Celsius in some localities, especially from 12.00pm until 4.00pm.  

In particular, Da Nang is experiencing sunny weather in the daytime with the temperatures hovering at between 25 to 36 degrees Celsius, whilst the lowest humidity is reported as 84%.
