Private daycare owner prosecuted for abusing children
The Thanh Khe District Police in Da Nang, on Wednesday, prosecuted a case of child abuse at the Me Muoi private daycare facility located on Thai Thi Boi Street in Chinh Gian Ward.

A video clip and several photos depicting the aggressive or ill-mannered behaviour committed by a nursemaid at the daycare facility went viral on social media in the morning of 21 May, infuriating many viewers and sparking outrage amongst the general public.
In the 22-second footage, the woman is seen feeding a 28-month-old boy who was lying shirtless on the floor during the lunch break.
She started hitting and slapping the child’s mouth as he refused to eat.
The child is later seen lying motionless on the floor.
This baby-sister also struck a second child during the lunch break.
She is pictured lifting a 12-month-old boy by grabbing his head.
The woman, who was later identified as Dinh Thi Hong, 46, the owner of the private daycare facility.
During her interrogations, Hong admitted to having performed the filmed violations, and added that the incident occurred in mid-April.
The facility was shut down on the same morning, and all the kids there were returned to their parents and then were sent to hospital for medical examinations.
According to the local police, the violence was filmed by one attendant of the daycare, who later quit her job, and this is the first recorded serious violation on children at a daycare centre in the city.
The facility, certified in 2013, nurtures 14 children, of whom 3 are aged between 6 months to one year old, and the remaining ones are aged from 13 to 36 months.
