Regulation on coordination of handling harassment of tourists signed
On Thursday, the departments of Tourism; Transportation; Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Industry and Trade; and Police; and the district-level authorities in Da Nang, jointly signed up for a regulation on the coordination of handling the harassment of tourists, wandering vendors, itinerant beggars, and violations relating to security and public disorders in the locality.
Under the signed regulation, they will together provide accurate and timely information, data, and images relating to the above-mention violations for relevant agencies. The use of the exchange information must strictly obey the city's rules.
The purpose of this regulation is to enhance the efficiency of the State management in the aspects of tourism, security and social order, ensure the aesthetics of the urban landscape, effectively implement the ‘City of 4 Safe Programmes’ campaign, and create a safe, civilised, friendly and hospitable tourism environment.
Currently, the harassment of tourists and the operation of street vendors are being prohibited on a total of 50 streets in Hai Chau, Son Tra, Thanh Khe and Ngu Hanh Son districts.
