Over recent years, the Da Nang authorities have made great efforts to ensure the sustainable development of the tourism sector, aiming at helping the city host even more international-level events and festivals in the near future.

Mr Le Tan Thanh Tung, the Deputy General Director of the city-based Vitours, remarked that the focus should be on organising more fascinating festivals to attract growing number of visitors from both home and abroad.
In addition, importance should be attached to diversifying the tourism products, dealing with the shortage of night-time entertainment services, and establishing pedestrian areas in the inner-city areas.
Another emphasis should be on implementing tourism stimulus programmes during the low season from September to December each year, and organising more cultural and sporting events during the period.
Director of the Viet Da Travel Dinh Van Loc underlined the importance of opening night markets and pedestrian areas at tourism dedicated venues, and to develop more fascinating festive and cultural activities during summer season.
Meanwhile, municipal Travel Association Chairman Cao Tri Dung highlighted the significance of enhancing the professionalism of existing events, and hosting more international festivals in the city. In addition, heed should be paid to boosting the advertisement of the attractive tourism products and festivals to increase the visitation to the locality.
