Localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Quang Ngai in the mid-central region, including Da Nang, are suffering a blistering heatwave which is predicted to continue into the next few days, the Mid-Central Region Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has warned.

The hot spell is resulted from the influence of the developing southern low pressure trough associated with seasonal southwest winds.

Highs will soar between 35 and 36 degree Celsius on the average temperatures in the daytime, and even 37 degree Celsius in some parts of the mid-central region, especially from 11.00am until 3.00pm.

Meanwhile, the lowest humidity is reported as between 45 and 55%.

In particular, Da Nang is experiencing sunny and cloudy weather in the daytime with the temperatures hovering at between 28 to 36 degrees Celsius, whilst the lowest humidity is reported as 72%.
