On the morning of 13 September, a group of tourists which consist of 2 American women, along with Australian man Mohamed and British man Sammy together trekked through a forest on the peninsula.
These foreign tourists were descending from a more-than-a-century-old banyan tree to the Nghe Cape, when they lost one another.
On 14 September evening, the 2 female visitors found their way back and informed relevant local agencies of their lost fellows. Soon after, a search for the 2 missing trekkers began in a prompt fashion.
On 15 September morning, one of the missing men, Mohamed, fortunately, made his comeback by himself, and asked for help given to his physically exhausted companion Sammy, who was stranded near the Nghe Cape.
Finally, Sammy was found on 15 September afternoon, and he was safely brought back to the mainland by canoe.
The highly applauded rescue of the British tourist by the local police and border guards indeed left a good impression on international visitors.
